Catalyst - Steven Furtick

This guy's story was incredible.  At 16, God gave him a vision that he would start a church in a big city to reach the lost.  He had no idea where this would be and how it would happen, but he knew this was God's plan.  Eventually, he and his wife, together with 8 other families, moved to Charlotte, NC to start a church.  Now, two years later, Elevation Church has more than 3500 in attendance between its two campuses.  Not that attendance is a direct indicator of God's presence, but this is obviously something man could not accomplish alone.  And this guy is only 28 years old.  His message was probably the most meaningful for me.  He was obviously speaking from experience.

• There is a painful process between God's promise and the payoff.  (Imagine how long the 12 years between his promise and payoff must have felt like.)
• Be faithful in the process.
• Believe in the vision when there is nothing to see.  (He talked about how Elijah, in 1 Kings 18 held on to what he had heard from God when there was nothing to see.) 
• Hold on to what you've heard from God.
• God is capable of completing what he has invited into you life.

If I am ever in the Charlotte area, I would love to hear him speak again.  He spoke with the power of the Holy Spirit.
